Pointing towards Marineholmen as a strong ecosystem for this.

Winners of the Cluster’s AquaHACK, presented their winning show-case “Digital Gut Interface”  Engaging young talents has been an important focus from the Cluster to secure a competent workforce and competitive edge to our partners.

Innovation Norway, with Kristianne Paasche presented “SuperClusters” as the next development level for The Seafood Innovation Cluster. Paasche underlined the good work the Cluster has achieved on Entrepreneurship, together with BTO and HATCH, and an excellent example of Clusters results in building competitive ecosystems for innovation.

Trond Kathenes, from Grieg Seafood gave the members a strategic view on AquaCloud and digitalisation as a competitive advantage for the Cluster, and the importance of owning and sharing data which in most cases adds value and gives synergy, rather than strengthens competition.

Opportunities
The Cluster has engaged Solveig Holm to facilitate the Strategy Process. In the panel debate during the forum themes were challenges and opportunities that lie within the seafood industry at the present, and how The Seafood Innovation Cluster can work as a strategic tool for the industry. We believe that there are two areas there we have potential to advance into a “SuperCluster”; Digital Ecosystem and Global Innovation Business Ecosystem.

Thank you for sharing the day with us. We appreciate your support and trust, and are looking forward to continue our strategy discussions with you all.
