At NASF Seafood Innovation Day we are showcasing cutting-edge innovations to reach the ambitions of sustainable seafood growth.
6 start-ups have been selected to showcase their innovative seafood solutions shaping one of the most important industries for the future. The start-ups wil be pitching, competing for the Seafood Innovation Award and participating in speed-dating.
Dynaspace (Norway) provides the shrimp industry with key production data. By using computer vision, machine learning, and multi-spectral satellite image processing capabilities, they can provide real time global information on shrimp farming.
Impact-9 (Ireland) develops new mechanical and structural solutions for offshore applications, mainly focused on novel mooring and anchoring solutions for offshore fish containers.
Innomar (Norway) uses technology from oil and gas in development of highly efficient fishing traps which can be equipped with sensors for catch monitoring and traceability. Their effective fish traps catch fish in a sustainable manner that is gentle to the seabed.
Marine Technology Innovation (Norway) combats marine fouling with nature’s own compounds. MTI tailor sustainable active compounds to prevent marine fouling within the seafood industry, seaweed prediction, shipping antifouling and subsea.
Shrimp Vision (Norway) produces sustainable scampi in a biosecured onshore hot water environment to consumers in Europe. The company utilizes the excess heat from metallurgy industry and RAS.
SeaSmart (Norway) provides drones as a platform for collecting verified datasets and is working to environmental monitoring of the entire cage, giving easy, profitable, smart and sustainable solutions.
Tracio (Iceland) is developing a new system based on chemical sensors and visual indicators that detect spoilage gases, and with machine learning offer dynamic expiry dates and freshness indication all the way from production to the fridge at home.
