BETWEEN SCYLLA AND CHARYBDIS-FISH HEALTH UNDER PRESSURE – AQUA NOR
At a glance
Bilde laks-AN17 Organized by:
The Norwegian Food Safety Authority, SERNEPECA, Chile and the Norwegian Veterinary Institute.
What are the greatest challenges in today’s farming of salmon and trout? Most will agree that it is salmon lice and lacking opportunities for growth. Millions are invested in trying to handle these challenges. In this connection, a lot of effort goes into new technology. The authorities have made this possible through the announcing of "development permits".
The challenges relating to fish health have been associated with fish farming since the start, and they will never disappear. Some problems have been solved, but others pop up.
In this seminar, we will focus on fish health in Norway and Chile and look at the opportunities and challenges associated with new technologies, with special reference to fish health.
