Bergen as an energy hub for green shipping
Date: April 10
Time: 11:00 AM–1:00 PM
Location: The Harbor Room
Organizer: Maritime CleanTech
The Port of Bergen is a world champion in supplying ships with clean power. What are the next steps towards emission-free shipping? Welcome to HAVlunsj during One Ocean Week!
In the project "Energy hub for ships", Maritime CleanTech has considered how future shipping in the Bergen area can be ensured access to clean energy in the form of shore power, charging and new fuels. The project is supported by Bergen Municipality and has involved key players in the maritime value chain.
During One Ocean Week, we will present recommendations from the project and invite discussion about the way forward for Bergen as an energy hub for green shipping.
Participants: Maritime CleanTech, Port of Bergen, Plug, representatives of authorities and the maritime industry (TBA).
HAVlunsj is an informal meeting place for the maritime industries, with a focus on competence development and networking. HAVlunsj is organized one Thursday a month by VIS, Maritime Bergen, GCE Ocean Technology, NCE Seafood and Maritime CleanTech, usually at Marineholmen.
