Welcome to HAVlunsj organized by GCE Ocean Technology.
The Centre for Sustainable Subsurface Resources (CSSR), led by NORCE, is looking at how emissions from the Norwegian continental shelf can be reduced through the smart use of various solutions that are connected together.
During the SEA Lunch, NORCE will present how offshore wind can help reduce emissions, and how hydrogen or gas turbines can ensure a stable energy supply during periods of low wind. They will also show how oil and gas production can be planned and managed more effectively when energy availability varies over time.
Furthermore, Archer Wind will present experiences from the Culzean project, where floating offshore wind is used to electrify existing oil and gas platforms in the UK.
The wind turbine was installed at the Wergeland base in Gulen. They will present experiences with floating offshore wind projects at the base, as well as the potential and opportunities for Norwegian offshore wind in the years ahead.
Initially, GCE Ocean Technology provides an update on The SAMvind project , which strengthens collaboration and common market opportunities within offshore wind.
HAVlunsj is a series of lunch meetings organized by VIS , Maritime Bergen , GCE Ocean Technology, NCE Seafood Innovation Cluster , Marineholmen and Maritime CleanTech .
The SEA Lunch is free and open to everyone. Before we start the program, lunch will be served to all participants.
