The Secretariat for the Social Mission on Sustainable Feed will arrange a series of dialogue meetings across the country in June.
NCE Seafood is collaborating on the dialogue meeting that will be held in Bergen on June 17th at 12:00-15:00 in the "Mellomrommet" on the second floor at VilVite.
Here is the link to register for the Dialogue meeting on the social mission on sustainable feed in Bergen . The meeting is free and open to all interested parties.
At these meetings, it is desirable to engage relevant stakeholders to identify common bottlenecks and then develop measures that can help us achieve the ambitious goals set in the social mission.
Agenda
- Welcome and introduction by the Secretariat for Sustainable Feed
- Short presentation from a business actor describing their approach to the issue and the challenges they face in their work to develop or use new feed ingredients
- Teamwork and co-creation across sectors
The group work will follow this three-part progression:
- Ideas for measures that can help us reach the goals by 2034. Creative phase where participants come up with suggestions. Examples may be related to economic risk and investment willingness, does it have to do with economic incentives or tax and fee systems, public regulations including land use planning or other factors?
- Prioritization of measures. The groups prioritize three measures each that are relevant to a certain extent, preferably across several themes, areas, technologies or raw materials, and not just for one specific field.
- Implementation. The groups work on how the measures from task 2 will be implemented. Think about where we should focus (locally, regionally, nationally or internationally), whether we can use existing networks or need to create new ones, and who will be responsible.
Goals for the dialogue meetings
The main goal of the societal mission is that by 2034, all feed for farmed fish and livestock will come from sustainable sources and contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in food systems. The societal mission will contribute to preserving biodiversity, developing a strong feed ingredient industry and increasing security of supply in Norway through an increased Norwegian share of feed.
- At the dialogue meeting, we will work on concrete solutions that will take us forward so that we can achieve the ambitious goals defined in the social mission.
By raising our sights and identifying common challenges, we can find solutions that are relevant to multiple areas and that the social mission can work with. These solutions will require new arenas of collaboration between actors who do not usually meet, across sectors and areas of responsibility.
