AquaCloud - the aquaculture industry's data sharing initiative. From project to company.
AquaCloud was a big data project rooted in the industry's need to solve common challenges for sustainable growth. The project evolved from being a pure tool for sea lice reporting to becoming a hub for industry activities.
AquaCloud was started as a cluster project in 2017 and started in collaboration with cluster members Lerøy Seafood Group ASA, Grieg Seafood ASA, Mowi ASA, Bremnes Seashore AS, Lingalaks AS, Eide Fjordbruk and Bolaks AS. Until January 2026, AquaCloud was a subsidiary of the cluster.
