Seven ambitious startups competed for victory – GreenFish came out on top
Yesterday, we gathered 7 nominated seafood startups for the Seafood Innovation Award 2025 during the North Atlantic Seafood Forum (NASF) in Bergen. Seven selected companies got to present their innovative solutions to a jury of experts and an engaged audience, and the competition was tight.
Today the winner was announced on the main stage at NASF, and we are proud to congratulate GreenFish as this year's winner!
What does GreenFish do?
GreenFish has developed a fishing area prediction solution for all major pelagic fish species in the territorial waters of Iceland and Norway. The solution provides forecasts of expected catch quantity and product quality in different sea areas, allowing skippers to optimize their catch and increase value. With access to data on average weight, condition factor and filleting yield, fishermen can make better decisions and reduce uncertainty in the search for the best fishing areas.
