The Seafood Innovation Award 2027 is now open for applications

Does your company have an innovative solution that can help solve future challenges in the seafood industry? Applications for the Seafood Innovation Award 2027 are now open.

The award is an international competition for startups and growth companies, and is organized as part of the North Atlantic Seafood Forum (NASF), the world's largest meeting place for the seafood industry.

The Seafood Innovation Award builds on a long tradition of highlighting innovation and entrepreneurship in the seafood industry. Through the competition, promising companies are given the opportunity to present their solutions to investors, industry leaders, customers and potential partners from around the world.

The Seafood Innovation Award gives startups and scale-ups a unique opportunity to showcase their solutions to an international audience. We are looking for startups and scale-ups that want to solve current challenges in the aquaculture industry. Participants are assessed based on, among other things, the degree of innovation, environmental impact, team competence and commercial potential. The most promising companies are invited to pitch in front of investors, customers and potential partners. In addition, the finalists have the opportunity to meet the jury through their own speed dating sessions and receive valuable feedback from experienced industry players.

Over the years, the Seafood Innovation Award has highlighted companies that develop solutions to some of the industry's most important challenges.

GreenFish (2025) – was awarded for its data-driven tools that help the fishing fleet find optimal fishing areas and improve fishing efficiency.
