Havblikk – Blue Opportunities for a Green Future

The Ocean Conference – 2 Source: regjeringa.no

With its long coastline, traditions and knowledge of the sea, Norway has developed into an important maritime nation. The sea is the common denominator for the most important industries in Norway today, represented by the oil and gas industry, the maritime industry and the seafood industry, measured in value creation. In the future, the development of new ocean-based industries will also be able to contribute to value creation. Production of seaweed and kelp, fishing for unknown species, aquaculture facilities far offshore, underwater oil and gas factories and large-scale wind farms, and mining on the seabed are among the possibilities currently being discussed.
