Last week we gathered in Trondheim for module 2 of the 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁-𝗞𝘂𝗹𝗹 #𝟴, which this year consists of 27 participants from all sorts of industries – lawyers, banks, fish farmers, fishermen and technology – and it is precisely this mix that makes the program so exciting! It is not only about subjects, but also about building networks and sharing perspectives.
This module was about the development of the seafood industry, and we got to learn (and experience) how the seafood industry is constantly finding new solutions.
A packed program included:
🔬 SINTEF Ocean impressed us with insights into research on fish welfare, sustainability analyses and robotics for aquaculture. The tour of their laboratories was like a little trip into the future – from plankton research to advanced marine operations.
🐟We went to Belsvika and Storskogøya to see how fry and food fish are made. The transport? RIB boat! Fun, cold and definitely a highlight!
💡Inspiring presentations from AKVA group , ScaleAQ , and BioMar , which showed us how the players work with technology, sustainability, and new solutions in practice.
📈 A closing presentation from OptoScale and Spillfree , which gave us a taste of how data analysis and new technology play an important role in the future of the seafood industry.
This module has truly shown how innovation and technology can drive the industry forward, and we are already looking forward to the next module where the journey continues to Oslo!
