Innovation Framework 2018 – new project opportunities

Innovation Framework 2018 The aim of the Innovation Framework is to stimulate companies in the cluster to collaborate on developing ideas for new innovation projects. This can include innovations related to products, services, production processes, business models or markets. The support from the Innovation Framework will help develop a project idea into a project proposal that is mature enough to be financed by the companies themselves or with risk financing from the policy instrument.

The following guidelines are the basis for the scheme:

There is a requirement that the funds are only used for collaborative projects involving a minimum of two companies, of which at least one of the companies must be a partner or member of the cluster.
Innovation Norway offers a maximum of 50 percent in grants for each individual project.
The projects must meet the requirements for support for research and development projects in the EEA State aid regulations. Read more about the guidelines here.
The public co-financing shall be the trigger for the project
The projects must meet Innovation Norway's requirements for sustainability. All applicants must describe how they fulfill their social responsibility through good business practices, and describe any positive environmental and/or social impacts resulting from the project. Read more about Innovation Norway's procedures here.
Use of the funds must be reported as of January 2020, possibly based on an adapted milestone plan.

Information about the Innovation Framework can be found here.
