Land meets sea gains renewed confidence
The support comes from Innovation Norway via the Bioeconomy Scheme and helps the project to continue its work. Land meets Sea works particularly in the first phase of project development, and Elise has a mandate to work on projects before funding is in place.

Contributes to building the new circular value chains
The ambition is to achieve innovation and industrial development across blue and green bioeconomy. The focus areas are:
- Increased circularity
- New feed raw materials for fish and land animals
- Better utilization of residual raw materials and side streams
- Cross-sectoral collaboration, industrial symbiosis and new value chains.
Project development, policy formulation and expertise
Land meets Sea works at the intersection of resource flows, infrastructure and business development. The project works with concrete project development, contributes to policy formulation, and builds expertise across sectors.
In a short time, the initiative has managed to establish research projects and secured significant funding, delivered strategic recommendations and insights for policy formulation, and contributed to the transfer of expertise and exchange of experience across regions, industries and sectors.
Significant contributions
In total, Land Meets Sea has helped to raise just under 20 million in research support, and in addition, the project has mobilized 10 million in contributions from industry players across agriculture, fisheries and aquaculture.
