Launch of Seafood Digital

About the program

The program consists of three levels that cover a wide range of relevant topics within digitalization for management, process management and production, respectively. The leadership program will be launched in the spring and has 3 sessions. In the first session, we start by defining digitalization, exploring digital technologies and discussing digitalization work with a focus on the leadership role, digital strategy and organization. The second session addresses digital platforms and ecosystems, digital innovation, digital transformation and digital competence. In the last session, the program addresses digital maturity, digital security, digital privacy and digital working life.

The program is tested on the management team

The first cohort will include participants from the management teams at Lerøy Seafood Group, Grieg Seafood and Lingalaks.

"The first cohort is a pilot, but we will set up new cohorts for both top managers, middle managers and production levels in the companies. We have the impression that there is no limit to how many employees need increased competence in digital transformation", Rune Smistad, Senior Project Manager Digital Transformation, NCE Seafood.

In demand among members

The program is based on input from members and partners in NCE Seafood. Jon Iden, professor from NHH, will be the subject manager for Seafood Digital. Jon Iden is a leading national expert in the field of digitalization and digital transformation, and will take us through 3 inspiring and educational modules. The different modules will also have other contributors with domain expertise.

"We have long wanted a digital leadership program to strengthen the digital competence at Lerøy Seafood Group. This will be an important strategic tool to ensure the production of sustainable seafood in the future. We look forward to this program," says Anders Storebø, Head of Digital Transformation, Lerøy Seafood Group.

New litters for the fall

New courses will be set up in the fall of 2024 for managers, middle managers and those working in production. The program will be open to both members of NCE Seafood and others working in the seafood industry.
