NCE Seafood is proud to be part of the Aquaculture Promise.

The Aquaculture Promotion Programme is a national programme funded by the Norwegian Fisheries Fund (FHF) that brings together some of the most central players in the aquaculture industry, administration and research communities to create a common knowledge base and improve the implementation of knowledge in the industry. The programme is based on close cooperation between the clusters and research and development actors, and was developed precisely because the challenges in aquaculture cannot be solved by one party alone.
The Aquaculture Promise

The aquaculture promotion is based on the current situation: high mortality, poor fish welfare, stagnation in production, a complex management system and many yellow and red production areas in the traffic light scheme. The program will contribute to a unified understanding of problems and solutions across industry, authorities and research.

NCE Seafood Innovation is proud to be part of HAVBRUKSLØFTE, a national program funded by FHF (Fisheries and Aquaculture Industry Research Funding) , developed in close collaboration between aquaculture clusters and leading research and development environments. To solve the challenges facing the industries, we MUST work across sectors and that is precisely what Havbruksløftet facilitates. The program consists of five projects involving a wide range of partners from industry, research and government:

Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) , NMBU – Norwegian University of Life Sciences , DNV , SINTEF Ocean , Accenture , Nofima , Blue Planet , BDO , Salmon Living Lab , Åkerblå AS – a DNV company , Trøndelag Higher Vocational School (THYF) , Institute of Marine Research , University of Stavanger, University of Bergen (UiB) , Veterinary Institute , Stiim Aqua Cluster , NCE Aquatech Cluster , NCE Aquatech Cluster .

The goal of the Aquaculture Promise is to ensure that knowledge is used in a way that strengthens the sustainability and resilience of the aquaculture industry. Through collaboration, knowledge sharing and a joint effort to identify barriers and find solutions, the program will lay the foundation for better practice, clearer policy and increased innovation throughout the industry. In other words, the Aquaculture Promise is an important initiative to create a more coherent, knowledge-based and future-oriented aquaculture in Norway.
