The new vocational school offer is suitable for those who work on a RAS facility, wellboat or a regular fish farming facility. If you need to improve your skills in the subject area, you can now apply for admission to the new vocational school offer. In total, the vocational school will offer 60 credits within the subject area, and will start by offering the subject Water Chemistry and Water Treatment, which is a course module that provides 10 credits.
About the topic
The course Water Chemistry and Water Treatment provides basic competence in chemical and physical processes to provide fish with good growth conditions and a good breeding environment. The course will also provide basic understanding of calculating chemical requirements and use to provide minimal impact on the external environment.
Part of a larger professional education
NOKUT has so far approved 3 courses of 10 credits each, for a total of 30 credits. The topics for these courses are: Water chemistry, microbiology and fish health in aquaculture.
On February 10, a new application will be submitted to NOKUT for 3 new courses of 10 credits each, a total of 30 credits. The topics for these courses are: Basic Electrical Engineering, Sensor Technology, and Technology and Control Systems for RAS.
In total, the vocational school in Bergen will offer 60 credits in RAS technology.
