Strengthens Bergen

– There are not many companies headquartered in Bergen with the breadth of expertise and functions that Marine Harvest has today. We are very pleased to contribute to strengthening the city's position as Norway's seafood capital, says HR Director Anne L. Riise.

A number of jobs are now being relocated, and a number of positions are being advertised in connection with this. The most prominent are the positions of director of accounting, IT operations and tax functions worldwide.

– It is completely natural to have the head office and corporate functions of one of the world's largest seafood companies in Bergen, says the HR director.

The city's largest

Marine Harvest CEO Alf-Helge Aarskog already lives in the Bergen area, as does Chairman Ole-Eirik Lerøy.

Marine Harvest has a total of 11,715 employees in 23 countries, and is the largest company based in Bergen. The group had sales of over NOK 25 billion in 2014. In 2015, the company expects to produce around 430,000 tonnes of salmon.
