Strengthening "Land meets Sea" – a commitment to blue-green innovation

Elise Sæle Dahle will start in her new position on December 1, and will be a driving force for sustainable value creation across the agriculture and marine sectors.

She comes from the role as head of the design and consulting company Haltenbanken. There she has worked with many different clients ranging from large international corporations, via public institutions and organizations, to national and regional SMEs. She has led large strategic and interdisciplinary processes, and worked extensively with business development, brand strategy and sustainability.

– I am looking forward to taking on this exciting challenge, and I look forward to getting to know the companies in the clusters, and getting up close to the issues the industry is experiencing. There is great potential in achieving cross-sectoral co-creation and innovation, says Sæle Dahle.

– By working closely together, sharing experiences, expertise and ideas, we can create new business areas and make the bioeconomy an important contribution to the transformation of Norwegian business, says the new leader of the initiative.

– We are very happy to have Elise join the team. With her background as an experienced project manager and process facilitator, she is trained in getting people with different professional positions, expertise and backgrounds to work together on complex issues, says cluster manager at NCE Seafood, Nina Stangeland.

As a project developer, Elise Sæle Dahle will work across the four industry clusters under the Land meets Sea umbrella. The goal is to increase expertise, and for Land meets Sea to contribute as a catalyst for project development across blue and green bioeconomy. The individual clusters have extensive knowledge in their areas, and there is an unmet need to develop joint projects that contribute to real industrial boosts in both sectors. The role of the project developer will be to help unlock and trigger the potential for innovation, value creation, and knowledge and expertise sharing across the bioeconomies.

The project "Land meets Sea" is unique because it looks at innovation, value creation and circular economy across different bioeconomies. The project has secured support from Innovation Norway over a 2-year period.
