The strategic areas of focus for which support can be applied for are:
- Restructuring
- Entrepreneurship and innovation
- Research for enhanced innovation capacity
- Skills and career
- Sustainable cities and communities
- Natural resources
- Green competitiveness and climate innovation
Actors with specific facilitating projects/measures can apply.
The funds cannot be used for direct business support or start-up support. Such support is managed by Innovation Norway, municipal business funds and regional start-up funds.
There are three application deadlines in 2020. Applications are handled by the main committee for industry, natural resources and innovation:
- Application deadline April 15: handled in meeting June 4
- Application deadline June 15: handled in meeting September 16
- Application deadline September 15: handled in meeting November 25
