To spread knowledge and inspiration
– Plastic is an important component in the seafood industry, but the processing of plastic is not very circular. We need to get better at repairing, reducing and recycling. That is why we are launching a new competence program to spread knowledge and contribute with inspiration to more circular solutions in the industry , says Solveig Holm, senior project manager at NCE Seafood.
Seafood Circular Plastics is organized in collaboration with Sveinung Jørgensen and Lars Jacob Tynes Pedersen – experts in sustainable business and circular economy, podcast entrepreneurs and advisors and leaders of the Centre for Sustainable Business at NHH.
– Participants will, among other things, receive an introduction to circular economy models and insight into how we can establish new business models around plastics, says Sveinung Jørgensen, sustainability adventurer at NHH.
– There will be lectures, company visits, discussions and relationship building! Together with NCE Seafood, we will inspire participants to collaborative projects that can contribute to more circular solutions around plastic, says Lars Jacob Tynes Pedersen, sustainability adventurer at NHH.
The first gathering includes a visit to Brann Stadium
The program runs over six months, divided into four two-day modules. The four sessions will take place in the Bergen region, the Oslo region, Trondheim and/or Bodø.
The first gathering will be held in Bergen on October 25-26. Here, participants will receive an introduction to terminology, circular economy and circular business models, as well as plastics in the seafood industry and the life cycle of plastics. As part of the gathering, there will be a visit to Brann Stadium with a presentation of an exciting plastics project.
