The incoming CEO of NCE Seafood has strong expertise in core areas such as fish health, feed and digitalization, which will fit well with the cluster's focus areas. She also has experience in commercializing products and services from both Cargill and Aquabyte.
– NCE Seafood is a key player in stimulating sustainability, development and growth in the seafood industry. For me, this is a very exciting opportunity to use my experience and knowledge to further develop the cluster and the industry within areas that are close to my heart; sustainability, fish health and welfare, digitalization and talent development, says Jansen Hagland.
Broad experience from the seafood industry
With education in both fish health from the University of Bergen and aquatic and environmental technology from Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, she has a solid academic background.
Jansen Hagland also has extensive experience in the seafood industry. She worked for seven years at the Norwegian Food Safety Authority, including as Project Manager and Senior Advisor for Fish Health. She then spent five years at Cargill, where she was responsible for product development, etc.
For the past two years, Jansen Hagland has worked with technology, digitalization and fish health at Aquabyte, and now serves as "Head of Expansion and External Affairs". Here, she has been responsible for expansion strategy, which involves international, state and strategic partnership initiatives and projects.
Starts in October
Jansen Hagland will take over the role as leader on October 1st.
