In two generations, aquaculture has gone from small farms and pioneering work to become Norway's second largest export industry, along with the wild fish industry. Through hard work, ingenuity, innovation and technology, we have built businesses and created profitable jobs along the entire coast. In 2024, Norway exported seafood from aquaculture worth 130 billion kroner, and approximately 59,200 people have jobs related to aquaculture.
