This year, we had industry leaders giving us perspectives on the industry drivers, corporates talking about how they adopt to changes, and startups with cutting-edge technology pitching. One on the scene was Laila Knarvik from Bremnes Seashore, who talked about decades of R&D spending’s into their fish welfare which drives an excellent quality.

Nina Stangeland, Managing Director of NCE Seafood Innovation Cluster opened the day together with Einar Wathne, Chairman of the Cluster, before we had an exciting line up.

After lunch, we had cutting-edge startups pitching on the scene for an audience award.

This year, Tracio from Iceland won the Seafood Innovation Award 2020. This includes business consulting from experts, cluster membership, and access to our upcoming Seafood Innovation Portal. Tracio is developing a new system based on chemical sensors and visual indicators that detect spoilage gases, and with machine learning offer dynamic expiry dates and freshness indication all the way from production to the fridge at home.
