NASF Young Leadership is organized by North Atlantic Seafood Forum and Norwegian Centres of Expertise The Seafood Innovation Cluster. It is a new world initiative to establish a community of exceptional young individuals who share a commitment to shape the global seafood future. Empowering young leadership is essential to create innovative responses to address global and regional challenges to shape the future of global seafood business.
NASF Young Leadership Summit 2016
– Transitions for sustainable seafood growth
The aim of the Young Leadership Summit is to build skills and knowledge for a better understanding of the future seafood agenda. The Summit will initiate a new young leadership community- towards achieving a sustainable seafood future, and establish a global network for young seafood professionals.
Highlights programme 2016
Today’s fisheries and aquaculture sector hosts a multibillion dollar industry that is a vital source of food and nutrition, employment, trade, economic wellbeing and recreation. The global population is expected to reach 9 billion by 2050, and the world food-producing sector must secure food and nutrition for the growing planet, produced in a climate friendly manner. Fisheries and aquaculture is an important solution to these difficult challenges. The Summit will feature keynote presentations, panel discussion and workshop, adressing strategies and emerging issues on the regional and global seafood business agenda.

Nominate a Young Global Leader
Only the very best candidates are to be selected and all efforts are extended to create a truly representative and influential community. Reflecting the diversity of stakeholders, Young Leaderships aim is to include leaders from politics, business and academia, across geographic regions. Nominees must be exceptional leaders under the age of 40. The candidates must have a recognized record of extraordinary achievement and a proven track record of substantial leadership experience. Typically, this means 5-15 years of outstanding professional work experience and a clear indication of playing a substantial leadership role for the rest of his or her career.
