There is a constant need for knowledge to secure sustainable growth in the seafood industry and advancement in the seafood value chain.
Knowledge sharing and talent development are key factors for our partners to increase the ability to apply the latest technologies and trigger sustainable growth.
Seafood Next is a competence program developed to meet the needs of the industry when it comes to knowledge development. It is an international program for new professionals in the industry.
Seafood Next focuses on sustainable growth and innovation throughout the seafood value chain.
Through the 4-module program you will meet leading actors in the seafood industry, visit fish farms and hatcheries and get insight about the most important mega trends in the industry.
The 4 modules:
Seafood Next is open to anyone who wants to develop their insight about the global seafood industry. Different expertise, education and competence are only an advantage.
It is a one-year program, where you will participate in four three-day modules.
The modules serve as a meeting platform for exchange of experience and you will get to build an important network for your future career in the industry.
In addition to the four physical modules, you will gain access to Blue Planet Academy, a leading digital e-learning platform within aquaculture.

Administration fee: NOK 15.000,-
Program fee: NOK 68.750,- *
Partners and members of NCE Seafood Innovation Cluster have the program fee included in the annual membership fee*
Startups and risk capital members have a 50% discount on the program fee.
In addition to the administration and program fees, there is a fixed module cost at NOK 11.500 kr,- per participant per module and cover all costs regarding meeting facilities (also costs regarding digital meetings), hotel, diet, travel and activities for the participants during each module.
Adjustment of total module costs will be made after the final module.

From 2025, NCE Seafood Innovation will exit the time-limited cluster program Norwegian Innovation Clusters, and gain a mature cluster status. Hence, the financial support from Innovation Norway to run Seafood Next will cease and this may reflect the pricing of the upcoming program. Based on this, the listed prices above may be subjected for adjustments.
